Chris Millar’s latest creation, Mirthful Miscellanea, is a handcrafted masterpiece where every part is made from scratch—except for a couple of gears. The artist uses materials like resin, acrylic paint, brass, steel, aluminum, electronics, and wood to build his intricate, mechanical sculptures. Each detail is carefully crafted, adding to the elaborate spectacle that is uniquely Millar’s.

This piece features a complex clockwork mechanism, a base that plays music from a music box, two gongs, and six bells. Millar shares that the inspiration behind this sculpture is a reaction to the “homogeneity” created by our internet-driven culture, aiming to push against the uniformity and create something entirely original and unique.
